I always hated the hideous peanut tanks on a Sportster that is going to be cafe'd or built as a streetspecial, so I thought I'd modify a Yamaha Special tank for this '76 Sportster.
Here's a few more ideas on how to make a XS650 special tank fit the bike, modifying it by taking 3" out of the center. In the next few days I'll post some cutting and welding pics!
